Understanding Boundaries: What it means to co-create them – This module explores boundaries and the co-creation of boundaries between peer support workers and the people they serve.

30 March 2021 By John

Provincial Peer Support Worker Training Curriculum (16 modules)

Boundaries are an essential part of healthy human connection. The peer support relationship is no exception. When people in a relationship are clear about what is okay, and what is not okay, we have a deeper capacity to build empathy, connect and stay out of resentment. However, boundaries in peer support might look different than the boundaries in other professional roles within the mental health and substance use field. Mutuality is foundational to peer support, so we will explore how to approach boundary co-creation from the perspective of mutuality.
