Supporting Someone Who is Grieving – This module takes a broad look at the impact of loss and trauma, the process of grief and how to hold space for someone as they navigate that grief.

30 March 2021 By John

Provincial Peer Support Worker Training Curriculum (16 modules)

Grief is something that hits most human beings at some point in our lives, yet most of us are ill-equipped to know how to support someone. This module will take a broad look at the impact of loss and trauma, and the process of grief that comes along with that. As supporters we cannot fix someone’s grief, as there isn’t a magic wand that will take away someone’s pain. So we will look at how we can come alongside someone and hold space for them as they navigate the road of healing for themselves.
