Provincial Peer Support Worker Training Curriculum (16 modules)

Trauma is pervasive. As peer support workers, we serve with the assumption that most people are coming to the table with a history of trauma. Therefore, people are more likely to experience retraumatization when they feel unsafe. It is essential that we create safety and offer predictability and choice when we support people. In this module we bring together all the learnings from previous modules to support the creation of environments and relationships that support the calming of the nervous system, so that people can have the capacity to heal and grow.
